
Inspector
Level 5’s Inspectors perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections of AC in accordance with current technical data, airworthiness directives, FAA approved practices, and Level 5 Aerospace. Inspectors are responsible to the Chief Inspector and/or the Director of Quality. Inspectors must be current on all FARs, DFARs, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and internal policies and procedures, along with developing methods and the inspection process under the supervision of the Chief Inspector. Inspectors must be appropriately certificated mechanics under FAR Part 65.
Responsibilities

Ensure thorough familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, equipment, tools, and aids, and maintain expertise in the skills required for the work they will be inspecting.

Ensure all equipment and tools are within calibration and have calibration dates affixed.

Understand current specifications involving tolerances and limitations.

Properly perform and record the inspection. Ensure the proper execution of records before returning the article to service.

Ensure work areas are clean, free from foreign object debris, and well-maintained.

Ensure mechanics are completing quality work per Level 5 standards, policies, and manuals. Report deficiencies to the Chief Inspector immediately.

Ensure only properly authorized technicians are working, signing or stamping work cards.

Maintain constant attention to all maintenance on their assigned line to adhere to Level 5’s RSM and Safety Manual.

Ensure all materials are allocated to the correct job and project number.
